Assessing Needed Repairs to Elmwood Avenue Building

Karpeles Manuscript Museum, Elmwood Avenue & North Street in Buffalo

By Eileen Buckley

Buffalo, NY – A contractor will begin assessing needed repairs to the facade of the Karpeles Manuscript Museum on Elmwood Avenue in Buffalo.

The building was damaged late Sunday night when strong wind gusts toppled dozens of bricks to the ground.

Elmwood Avenue between Allen and North Street reopened to traffic Monday afternoon. But a section of sidewalk on the Elwmood Avenue side of the building remains closed to pedestrians.

WBFO'S Eileen Buckley talked with the museum's director Christopher Kelly.
