Buffalo, NY – Babik is a quartet that performs a unique brand of jazz called gypsy jazz . It's a blend of big band swing and European gypsy music. Father of the genre, Django Reinhardt has been a major source of inspiration for the group - in fact, Babik was the name of one of Django's sons. They're a Buffalo band that has won the hearts of the public and critics alike
The Buffalo News has called Babik one of this city's hottest bands
And they were voted Best Jazz Act by Artvoice and Buffalo Spree readers for two years in a row now.
