Buffalo, NY – NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell officially announced plans Friday for the Buffalo Bills to play one regular season game in Toronto in each of the next five years.
Some fans fear this could signal the eventual move of the Bills to Toronto. But Goodell says the NFL has no plans to expand. He says this move will broaden fan support for the Bills and enhance the team's viability.
Bills owner Ralph Wilson says he's pleased that Buffalo is the first franchise in league history to play a series of regular season games in "a neighboring international city."
A news conference will be held sometime next week to announce more details.
