City Hopes to Salvage More Aud Seats

By Eileen Buckley

Buffalo, NY – The City is not pleased to learn that there are fewer Aud seats up for grabs. So far, about 500 have been pulled out the old hockey arena for a future auction.

As the old Memorial Auditorium in downtown Buffalo is being prepared for demolition, seats and other items are being removed for auction. The Erie Canal Harbor Development Corporation is overseeing seat removal.

But in a published report yesterday, the Development Corporation said that only 500 blue level seats will be up for auction. That's 3,500 fewer seats than expected. The City was hoping to auction off 4,000 old Aud seats as souvenirs.

But the Harbor Development Corporation says many of the seats have been damaged by mold and mildew.
