Buffalo, NY – Enterprise Charter School in Buffalo has been granted permission by the Buffalo School Board to operate its elementary and middle schools for another five years.
The extension was approved at Wednesday night's school board meeting by a five to three vote. Enterprise CEO Jill Norton says the five year period will be helpful for improving student performance.
"It's impossible to do things piecemeal, one year at a time, to put all the things in place to be successful," Norton said. "So, it is critical for us to have this long term planning option."
The Enterprise High School is closing down by orders of the state Board of Regents due to substandard student test scores.
