Buffalo, NY – After a democratic primary defeat last month, James Griffin says he is now endorsing Republican Chris Collins for County Executive.
The former Buffalo Mayor says he met at breakfast with Collins last week. Griffin says he is endorsing Collins because he has no"political baggage".
Collins tells WBFO News he is thrilled to have Griffin's endorsement. Collins says the former mayor is well know for putting the taxpayer first. Collins says Griffin is some one who puts aside career politicans.
This endorsement comes on the heals of last week's announcement that Paul Clark is supporting democratic opponent James Keane. The move was criticized because Clark placed several attack ads against Keane. It even spurred speculation that a deal was made between Keane and Clark.
