Late Late Show Host Comes to Buffalo

By Joyce Kryszak

Buffalo, NY – If you're an insomniac with a sense of humor, chances are you're a fan of one of Scotland's most famous exports. Comedian Craig Ferguson came a long way across the ocean, and over his career, to find success as the host of CBS's Late, Late Show. Ferguson brings his "cheeky monkey" brand of Scottish humor to UB's Center for the Arts Friday at 8:00 PM. WBFO's Joyce Kryszak talked with Ferguson by phone from his home in California and has this wee bit of insight into his zany personality.

He started out as a drummer in a punk band in Scotland. But it didn't take long for Ferguson to focus his attitude and energy on comedy. He was a hit in the U.K. and later in the U.S. on the Drew Carey Show. Now, as the host of the Late Late Show, Ferguson is delighting and often surprising audiences with his raw humor, and his humanity.
