Buffalo Neuro-imaging Analysis Center Expands
By Eileen Buckley
Buffalo, NY – The Buffalo Neuro-imaging Analysis Center at Buffalo General Hospital has expanded. It was created through a partnership between Kaleida Health, UB and the Jacobs Neurological Institute.
Kaleida invested ten million dollars into the center, also known as BNAC. It is part of UB's School of Medicine and an arm of the Jacobs Neurological Institute. It is a center that brings together clinicians and researchers from around the world working to advance the understanding of diseases of the brain, spinal cord and optic nerve.
The high tech imagining includes a secure network allowing the center to receive MRI studies from centers world-wide to analyze information just moments after arriving.
