Congress Higgins says not fair for Bush to compare Iraq with Vietnam.

By Eileen Buckley

Buffalo, NY – Western New York Congressman Brian Higgins says the political process in Iraq is not working.

Higgins reacted to comments made by the President about the War. Bush is arguing that the U-S struggles in Iraq and Afghanistan are similar to those in post-war Japan. But Higgins says it is not fair for Bush to compare Iraq with Vietnam."

"It is not fair to compare Iraq to Korea or to World War II. The fact of the matter is all wars are political ad different set of circumstances as to why nations go to war with each other," said Higgins.

Higgins says the Middle East is a very complex place. He believes the Nation and Administration seriously and grossly misunderstood the complexity of the culture in the Middle East, as well as the political and religious consideration of what is going in that country.
