Search for Missing Marilla Woman

By Mark Wozniak

Buffalo, NY – The Erie County Sheriff's Department is coordinating the search for a missing 69 year old Marilla woman.

Nancy Phelps has not been heard from since Sunday. Sheriff's investigator Dennis Rankin says her disappearance is suspicious.

"Based on our search of the home, we have found some evidence that leads us to believe that there has been foul play in this case," Rankin said.

Rankin says she failed to go to work on Monday. He says she was last seen by family members on Sunday.

Authorities are investigating whether there is a link between this case and that of a missing woman from the Town of Colden, who hasn't been seen since her house burned in late December.
