Senator Clinton Calls on Homeland Security Secretary to Visit Buffalo

By Eileen Buckley

Buffalo, NY – U-S Senator Hillary Clinton says the Bush Administration did a poor job in evaluating the Buffalo Niagara region for Homeland Security funding.

Buffalo stands to lose 50% of its Homeland Security funding under proposed cuts for 2007.

Senator Clinton appeared with Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown Monday at Lasalle Park vowing to fight for more anti-terrorism funding for the City and region.

Clinton is calling Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff to tour Buffalo and Niagara Falls so he can have a first hand look the reality of the region's homeland security funding needs. WBFO'S Eileen Buckley reports.
