Buffalo Charter School on Watch List

By Eileen Buckley

Buffalo, NY – A Buffalo charter school appears on the State Education Department's "persistently dangerous" schools watch list.

Seventeen schools have been identified as "persistently dangerous". A majority of the schools are in New York City, but two Rochester city schools were also named.

Ten additional schools have been added to a separte watch list. That includes the Charter School for Applied Technologies on Kenmore Avenue in Buffalo. The school is cited for reporting 52 serious incidents during the 2005-2006 school year. That is down from 72 from the previous school year. WBFO' S Eileen Buckley reports.
