Heat Advisory Issued, Buffalo Schools to Dismiss Some Students Early Tuesday

Buffalo, NY – High heat and humidity is moving into the Buffalo area.

The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory from 12noon Tuesday through 8pm Wednesday.

Buffalo Schools Superintendent James Williams announced today early grade students attending full-day summer school classes will be dismissed three hours early tomorrow. But he says morning classes will be held for all students. A full day of classes will be held for special education students because their buildings are air conditioned.

Officials in the Williamsville Central School District say all summer school classes at Dodge Elementary are cancelled Tuesday and Wednesday.
