Details of Terror Plot Revealed, US Attorney Monitoring Developments

By Eileen Buckley and Mark Scott

Buffalo, NY – Bail hearings for most of those accused of plotting terror attacks in Ontario have been put off. They are now set to appear on several different dates over the next month.

Their lawyers complained Tuesday that they've been given few details to back up the charges and have not had proper access to their clients. One lawyer, Gary Batasar, said prosecutors are alleging a plot to storm the Parliament buildings and behead the prime minister.

Another lawyer, Donald McLeod, complained he has not been allowed to have private discussions with his client. He also complained that the accused were being refused their religious rights.

Here in Buffalo, the US Attorney's office is monitoring the arrests in Toronto. WBFO'S Eileen Buckley reports. Click the "listen" icon above to hear her report now or use your podcasting software to download it to your computer or iPod.
