Veteran Sabres Watcher Assesses Team's Playoff Success

By Mark Scott

Buffalo, NY – The Buffalo Sabres return to HSBC Arena Wednesday night for Game Three of their playoff series against the Ottawa Senators. Buffalo holds a two-games-to-none lead in the best of seven series.

To say the Arena will be alive tonight is an understatement. After winning their first two games against Ottawa, the Sabres are legitimate contenders for the Stanley Cup.

At one time, Paul Wieland was in the midst of all the excitement, as the Sabres PR man and producer of the televised games. Today, he's a lecturer in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at St. Bonaventure University.

We reached him at his office Tuesday to talk about the Sabres success and the news coverage the team is receiving. Click the "listen" icon above to hear their conversation now or use your podcasting software to download it to your computer or iPod.
