Advocacy Groups Critical of Congressional Cuts to Programs Helping the Poor

Buffalo, NY – Various advocacy groups met in Buffalo Monday seeking increased funding to help with heating bills and food costs for those in need.
The Coalition for Economic Justice, Erie County Commission on Homelessness, Buffalo Living Wage Commission and faith-based leaders discussed congressional cuts to social programs. Such cuts have passed the House and are now before the Senate.
