Masiello Initiates Mayoral Transition As Analysis of Election Results Continues

By Mark Scott

Buffalo, NY – The transition from the Masiello administration to a Brown administration in Buffalo is beginning immediately. Mayor Anthony Masiello announced Wednesday afternoon that he is assigning an aide and providing office space to assist with the transition.

Masiello said he'll do all he can to help Mayor-elect Byron Brown "hit the ground running" when he assumes office on January 1st.

Meanwhile, the election results continue to spark much debate and conversation. It was, in many ways, an historic election. Besides Brown's election, Dr. Satish Mohan was elected town supervisor in Amherst. Dr. Michael Haselswerdt is a professor of political science at Canisius College. WBFO's Mark Scott reached him at his office Wednesday to talk about those two victories and possible troubles for one political party.
