Buffalo, NY – The annual Buffalo Auto Show and Buffalo Winterfest are combining this year. Mayor Masiello cut the ribbon Wednesday, kicking off the two events.
Visitors will find a variety of sports and luxury cars inside the Buffalo Convention Center, while outside, winter activities will take place in Niagara Square. Although the mayor says he is concerned about the city's finances, he hopes that these events will let people see the better side of Buffalo.
"We've had a lot of tough things, but we're going to stay focused and move forward. This is another opportunity for people to come downtown. We're still open for business. We're still providing services," Masiello said. "We're partnering up here with the Buffalo and Western New York auto dealers, with the Winterfest, The Police Athletic League, to create a lot of activities here in downtown Buffalo."
Organizers are hoping to attract 100,000 people to the two events.
