Buffalo, NY – The newly appointed chairman of the Buffalo Fiscal Stability Authority is offering a proactive start with the Buffalo Common Council.
Brian Lipke met with all nine city lawmakers Monday. It was the first time the entire council met with the leader of the control board since it was implemented in 2003.
Lipke listened to the concerns of lawmakers. He said he wants to focus on solutions to restore city finances.
Lipke told lawmakers the control board is not in place to run the city. He said that is their job. Instead, the new chairman says the board wants to work with them on resolving the big issues.
