Cheektowaga Woman Ticketed Again for Feeding Deer

Cheektowaga, NY – The woman known as the "deer lady" has been charged once again for feeding deer.

Anita Depczynski of Cheektowaga was caught last month for feeding deer in Stiglmeier Park. An officer from the State Department of Environmental Conservation ticketed Depczynski.

The 63-year old woman was convicted last year for violating a state law. She was sentenced to 15 days in jail but only spent a few hours behind bars. The law prohibits feeding deer to prevent the spread of chronic wasting disease.

The Cheektowaga woman is to appear in court January 18th.
