Buffalo, NY – Two slowly evolving major downtown redevelopment projects could be completed within three years.
At a recent board meeting, Buffalo Place officials learned that the Erie Canal Harbor redevelopment and the conversion of Memorial Auditorium into a Bass Pro Outdoor World store are both targeted for summer of 2007 completion dates.
Mayor Masiello tells the Buffalo News that he would be pleased if either proposal came to fruition, and says he gets "goose bumps" thinking that both could become reality.
An environmental impact study for the Canal project is nearly complete, and negotiations are continuing with Bass Pro officials.
