Waterfront Bike Path on Horizon

By Justin Sobel

Buffalo, NY – The Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority announced Wednesday that construction will begin soon on the Outer Harbor Waterfront Trail.

The two-and-a-half mile bike path will begin at the U.S. Coast Guard Station and moves South along Fuhrmann Boulevard. People will be able to use the path for walking, biking, and jogging.

County Executive Joel Giambra said the bike path will help bring people back to the waterfront.

The more than $800,000 trail will also include benches and a rest shelter. NFTA officials said it should be completed by the end of the year.
