Amherst Supervisor Skeptical of Regional Government

Amherst, NY – An eleven member commission exploring the future of local government has reportedly come up with recommendations. Though they're still a few weeks from formally unveiling their plans, commission members are calling for the elimination of the mayor's position in Buffalo and the creation of a legislative body that would have up to 27 members. Area towns would be invited to be a part of the new government structure. But don't expect Amherst to be a part of it -- at least not yet.
