Buffalo, NY – Employers in the Buffalo-Niagara region are expected to hire new workers at a moderate pace during the third quarter.
Manpower released its quarterly employment outlook Tuesday morning. It finds that 14 percent of area companies are planning to hire more employees while seven percent say they intend to reduce their workforce. That's slightly better than last year's third quarter.
Manpower's Renee Manning said job prospects in Buffalo-Niagara appear brightest in the wholesale-retail sector. She says hiring in the service sector will be mixed while area construction companies are unsure of their staffing plans.
