Buffalo, NY – There's more criticism being raised about Monday's Buffalo visit by Dick Cheney.
The vice president raised an estimated $400,000 for the Bush-Cheney reelection campaign. He was greeted by many protestors in addition to his supporters.
The financially strapped city of Buffalo was forced to spend $10,000 in overtime and other police costs to provide security for the Cheney visit. Additional costs were incurred by the Erie County Sheriff's Department.
A Bush-Cheney campaign spokesman says that it's "standard procedure" for security costs to be paid by the host city, not by the White House nor the campaign.
