Buffalo, NY – The U.S. Government has confirmed that it will vacate the Thaddeus Dulski federal office building.
The building's 1,270 will be transferred to new quarters over the next two years. Officials say the cost of renovating the 33-year-old West Huron Street facility exceeds its value.
Thirty government agencies are currently based in the Dulski building. The General Services Administration says all offices will remain downtown.
Many of them will relocate in a proposed six-story building on South Elmwood Avenue and others in a $100 million federal courthouse in Niagara Square, to be built starting late next year.
Officials say the fate of the Dulski building has yet be determined.
