Buffalo, NY – As the summer boating season gets underway, there will be many boat launches in the coming weeks. But there will be none more special than one occurring in Buffalo Thursday afternoon.
The craft that will be launched is a dragon boat. It resembles the fire breathing, mythological creature , complete with its detailed, ornate head. And it will be propelled by 20 women, all breast cancer survivors, who are members of a group called "The Hope Chest." This summer, they'll compete in a series of races.
