Buffalo, NY – The four suspects involved in the staged convenience store hold up that ultimately led to the death of officer James Shields were jailed on Friday.
The four were indicted on felony charges of falsely reporting an incident. Three of the four suspects will also face petit larceny and conspiracy charges.
Gregory Borelli has been identified as the store clerk who placed the 9-1-1 call, reporting an armed hold up at an A-Plus convenience store.
Deputy District Attorney Lawrence M. Schwegler says he has sworn confessions from all four suspects and that the cases against them all are strong.
