Spoken Arts: Writer Alice Notley

By Mary Van Vorst

Buffalo, NY – Alice Notley's been writing books and winning prizes for them for decades, most recently for her new book titled "Disobedience." It won this year's international Griffin Prize. The judges' citation read "her verse has a caustic swish," and that her work "surprises, denounces and dissents."

Alice Notley will travel to Buffalo from her home in Paris next month. Click the "listen" icon above to hear Mary Van Vorst's report.

You can hear Alice Notely along with fellow poet Diane Glancy Sunday, December 8th, 7:30 p.m. at Hallwalls.
