Albany, NY – A drug suspect who eluded federal law enforcement officers in Buffalo last week has been arrested in suburban Albany.
Police officials in Colonie say Alfred Zwack, 32, was arrested early Monday morning at a local motel on outstanding misdemeanor charges.
Colonie police officers made the arrest and are turning Zwack over to the U.S. Marshals.
Zwack eluded Marshals who were executing a felony drug warrant in Buffalo last Wednesday morning.
Authorities say Zwack drove a van at the Marshals, who opened fire. The van was later found abandoned a short distance away but Zwack couldn't be found.
No one was injured in the shooting.
