"We do have petitions out on the street," Brown said. "They are going incredible well. We are getting tremendous encouragement from business leaders and citizens. So we are inching closer to our decision."
Brown says his final decision will be based on making sure the the economic needs of the Buffalo region are met.
Erie County Legislator Charles Swanick is also considering a possible run and circulating petitions, but has not announced his decision.
