Buffalo, NY – One of the firefighters who battled the tragic blaze that claimed three young boys drowned later Sunday afternoon in a boating accident.
Thirty-year old Daniel Tourjie was boating in the Niagara River off Grand Island with his son and his girlfriend.
All three went swimming and were caught in the strong current.
Tourjie was swept under water and his body was found two hours later near the bottom of the river. The other two were rescued by a passing boater and jet ski operator.
