Albany, NY – The state Assembly this week approved a bill that forgives an $11.5 million dollar state loan made in 1985 for the construction of Dunn Tire Park.
The bill still needs state Senate approval, but if passed, it could pave the way for Erie County to take over operation of the stadium from the city of Buffalo.
The News reports that final approval from city and county lawmakers could be completed by early fall.
