Buffalo, NY – The National Weather Service's Buffalo office has confirmed that two tornadoes swept through Western New York Sunday.
One followed a six-and-a-half-mile path between the towns of Belfast and Angelica in Allegany County. Meteorologist Stan Levine describes it as a F-2 category tornado with winds topping 150 miles an hour. It destroyed a home, garage and barn in Belfast.
No injuries were reported.
A second, less powerful tornado touched down in the Town of Concord where it 75 mile per hour winds lifted the roof off a barn.
