Under Mark's leadership, the WBFO News Department has won more awards from the New York State Associated Press Broadcasters Association than any other Buffalo radio station. The newsroom has also been honored with national awards from Public Radio News Directors Inc. and the Council for Advancement and Support of Education.
Mark is a member of Public Radio News Directors Incorporated and a board member of the Buffalo Broadcasters group. He serves on the communications task force for the Sisters of St. Francis in Williamsville and the communications subcommittee of Leave a Legacy. Mark is a past chairman of the board at the Northeast Family YMCA in Amherst, where he is found most mornings sweating on the treadmill.
Mark resides in Amherst with his wife Mary Lou. Their son, Anthony, attends the University of Rochester. Mark's interests include Buffalo radio history, reading, running and wondering how to make that next big tuition payment.
