  • About Peggy Scalzo

Peggy Scalzo Peggy, a native of Endicott, NY, works as the PA house engineer in Allen Hall for WBFO's "Meet the Author" series. She has been with the station since 1992, working behind the scenes in various technical capacities, and was the recording engineer and technical director for the long-running WBFO classical music performance series Opus: Classics.

Peggy is also a very busy drummer and percussionist, performing in several musical genres throughout upstate New York. She's the drummer with the Dave Schiavone Quartet, the Ladies First Big Band and Ladies First Combo, and is a member of the award winning American Legion Post 264 Concert and Marching bands. Peggy also plays for musical theater productions, big bands, small jazz combos, and pop bands based in the Buffalo area.

Peggy keeps busy with studio work as well, having performed on many demo sessions and independent releases, and teaches privately at her home studio.

In the little free time she has, Peggy dabbles in web design and is webmaster for both the Dave Schiavone Quartet site, and her own site. Husband Dave, son Alex, and cats Ernie and Eddie also keep Peggy on her toes.
