  • About Howard Riedel

Howard Riedel Howard Riedel joined WBFO as a volunteer in 1981. That fall, he moved into a part-time position as board operator/sportscaster for Morning Edition, starting at the leisurely hour of 7AM. From 1982 through 1985, he was the full time local host of Morning Edition.

Howard gave up his regular WBFO air shift in 1985 to return to the advertising industry, but has continued his association with the station as an alternate host.

Howard is a graduate of the University at Buffalo. He began his radio career while doing graduate work in broadcasting at Syracuse University. Like fellow local Morning Edition host Mark Wozniak, Howard is part of the endangered species of Macintosh computer users.

You can send Howard an e-mail message at hriedel@wbfo.org
